About Heather
Heather Pegg is a London, Ontario comedian and performer with a résumé spanning improv, stage and screen for more than a decade. She started improv by stepping on stage in August 2016 under Off The Hinges Improv, and has gone on to perform with Shut The Front Door Improv and other troupes in London and area. She and her husband, Kevin Pegg, co-founded Third Wheel Improv in London, Ontario; their team’s entry in the 2016 Toronto 48 Hour Film Project, Retreat, earned the People’s Choice Award, with Heather appearing in a background role and working on set direction. She expanded onto the scripted stage in April 2019 as Sara Hastings in St Mary’s Community Players’ production of Getting Sara Married, and she is still going strong — instructing, performing and facilitating improv and other stage endeavours. Newsload’s event-coverage roster bills her as an improv performer and actor, and an alumnus of all three troupes. As a Newsload field correspondent she has led on-camera comedic coverage across Southwestern Ontario, and she doubles as a wedding officiant — which she says she absolutely loves.
