Human first
Closed, supportive learning environments with challenge by choice. Performance is optional; participation is practical.
Established 2018
Railway City Improv is a training ground for human agility and social fitness: the ability to listen, adapt, connect, and act with confidence when there is no script.

Our purpose
Technology can automate tasks, but it cannot replace presence, empathy, humour, or the courage to respond honestly in the moment. We create structured rooms where people can practise those skills together — safely, repeatedly, and with joy.
For individuals, that means more confidence and ease in everyday life. For organizations, it means stronger listening, psychological safety, collaborative problem-solving, and leaders who can navigate the unexpected.

What makes RCI different
Closed, supportive learning environments with challenge by choice. Performance is optional; participation is practical.
You learn by doing, reflecting, and repeating — not by watching another presentation about communication.
Exercises map directly to conversations, interviews, leadership, collaboration, uncertainty, and high-pressure moments.
Award-winning local instruction

Railway City Improv was recognized with the 2026 Consumer Choice Award in London for Comedy Club / School, and is Certified as a Humanity Oasis — a verified space where people and communities are welcomed, respected, and free to be themselves. Our facilitators bring experience from performance, education, film, social work, and applied improvisation.

A Humanity Oasis is a certified, inclusive community space dedicated to human connection.
The rooms behind the work

Every course ends the same way it starts: with people who arrived as strangers and leave with a shared language. No two rooms are alike — but every one of them runs on the same fuel: attention, generosity, and laughter.
On the air
Our December 2025 radio spot captured the pitch in under thirty seconds: improv is training for the conversations that actually matter. Turn it up and hear what we mean by “in person, all the time.”
